In the first part of this look at the general flows of capital into the additive manufacturing (AM) industry in 2025, Vanesa Listek did a masterful job of diagramming the most significant AM investments thus far this year. As the readers of that article will recall, Vanesa’s primary argument was that, while AM investors may have made fewer bets so far in 2025 than they have in recent years, the bets they are making tend to be of quite a high value on average. This appears to reflect increased conviction in the select number of applications/market segments where investment activity has been concentrated.
